How import NX assembly into Teamcenter

How import NX assembly into Teamcenter

How import NX assembly into Teamcenter

(OP)
When I try to import an existing NX assembly into a new .prt model file, it says this may not be done. You kidding me???  A NATIVE NX assembly and component model files cannot be brought from a remote directory into a Teamcenter-launched session of NX5? That can't be right.  Help - thomasleeclark

RE: How import NX assembly into Teamcenter

It can be done, but just not through the NX application interface that you're probably trying to use. Teamcentre imports native files as items into a database. That is a separate process under NX manager. You had best speak with your teamcentre administrator about how your needs can be met. When you think about the underlying operation of teamcentre as a highly organised and structured system for managing your data it is hardly surprising to find that there are some restrictions on random data movements.

RE: How import NX assembly into Teamcenter

On the NX UI, File Import Assembly into Teamcenter menu when you run the NX from the Teamcenter portal interface.
In this case the clone command will run.
On the numbering tab you can select the Auto Generate option in the Import Numbering row.
