Anyone have any idea how often Google updates the maps in their Google Earth website?

Probably more often in certain areas than others.  Just curious as I use the system in topography determination for my wind force calculations all the time.

RE: Google Maps

msquare,

I've been wondering about that now for quite a while.

If you move the time slider, I think that the latest time for updating is about 12 months.

I completed an Industrial planning job last year where I needed Google earth and if you move the time slider it shows it as completed.

If you dont move the time slider its as was about 3 years ago in my estimate.

RE: Google Maps

I know of at least one place in the UK where the Google Maps image is well over 5 years old.

Those in Australia wanting high resolution recent photo-maps, with dated photos, have a look at Near Map.
