Flow Meters

Flow Meters

Flow Meters

(OP)
I need help with finding a flow meter that can measure aerated flow in an IV line with a very fast response time (<100ms).  I am not completely familiar with flow meters.  Can any of you recommend a company to talk to who can help me find the appropriate one for my application?  Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

RE: Flow Meters

aerated? is that two phase?

It's saline with air bubbles in the flow.

That have flow meters with air bubble detectors/compensators as well as flow meters for partially filled pipes. I'm sure they can help you.

RE: Flow Meters

Some Coriolis meters claim to handle liquid with some entrained gas.  One technology that is rarely applied is Doppler flow measurement (too many people had too little success). Doppler depends upon entrained bubbles.

However the size that you suggest is problematic with all of my experience.  There is a bio-science forum that you can select.  I will look for it and advise the link.

RE: Flow Meters

Select forums at the top of this page to find bioengineering.
Within that link find three topics including the Bioinstrumentation Forum.

RE: Flow Meters

range gated doppler sonic flow measurements work fine and well documented
