ASSEMBLY CUT
ASSEMBLY CUT
(OP)
Hi,
I worked an assembly which contains bearings. These were got as "igs" form and from it I made NX part. The parts (bearings) were added into the assembly.
Then I used "ASSEMBLY CUT" to do a cut through the construction.
After I did it some elements weren´t hidden.
Please, see the attached picture.
The pins and screws I was able to hide them by means of "ASSEMBLY NAVIGATOR".But elements of bearing werenˇt possible to hide without being hidden whole bearing as well as in the cut.
Please, do you have any idea how to make "ASSEMBLY CUT" and all parts behind the cut were away?
Thanks a lot.

RE: ASSEMBLY CUT
view > operation > clip work section
You can change the section plane by:
view > operation > edit work section
RE: ASSEMBLY CUT
If you just need a section view, look into what jerry suggested or a pictorial section view in drafting.
RE: ASSEMBLY CUT
On the other hand it is hard to know what you'd use this for that you might not be able to achieve with dynamic sectioning in most cases. I can think of a case where I might use it for animations but otherwise the need eludes me.

RE: ASSEMBLY CUT
I must apologize I could't thank to you for your advice.I had a short holiday.
What I want is really "SECTION VIEW".I was a little confusing of using another 3D software in the past (this one solves the problem by using something similar like "ASSEMBLY CUT" in NX).
I haven't noticed the possibility of SECTION VIEW in NX because of using it short time in all.
Thanks to all of you.
RE: ASSEMBLY CUT
If you use a dynamic clip for this then the image tool ignores the clipping.
Such images I use for project reports and tolerance builds although I believe there is a tolerance build feature which I need to explore one day!
