I performed FEAs on sections of some bolts to see what thread geometry is strongest.  I would like to compare the VM stress between the bolts but Mechanica only gives the max values which are typically at some point at end of the thread.  Is there a way to exclude values on the edges of the model or tips of the threads?  What would be even better would be getting an average VM stress or give the volume of the screw above some set VM stress.

Also, I'd like to make my own plots from the results data.  How do you get to the raw data?

Please help.
