Graphical Display of Points

Graphical Display of Points

Graphical Display of Points

(OP)
Is there any way to change the graphical display size of points within the sketcher?  My points and contraints show up as the same size and I'm unable to quickly (visually) distinguish whether a constraint is on a point.

RE: Graphical Display of Points

The only way that I know of which will increase the displayed size of something like a 'point' is to go to...

Visualization -> Session Settings

...and selecting the 'Calibrate' button and then dragging the size of the display circle to be larger.

However, in your case where you have a grid of horizontal and vertical lines, I suspect that no matter how large you were to make the display of a point that you would not be able to see it very well.

Thanks John, that seems to help a bit with the combination of changing the colour of the points.  It does however scale everything else up as well (datum, dimensions and constraints).

On a tangent, can I change the default colours so all points are a red, lines are green, dimensions cyan, constraints blue, etc.?

I've made the switch from I-deas and for the most part, find NX to be better in some areas but lacking in other areas such as this one.

Thx,

Chris

P.S. - I'm using NX V6.0.5.3 with Teamcenter Engineering 8

RE: Graphical Display of Points

When you are in the Sketch task, you have the option of showing the colors of the objects either based on the Sketch 'behavioral colors' (controlled by the status of an object such as being constrained or not) or as they would appear if they were NOT part of a sketch.  You can toggle this state ON/OFF with the 'Display Object Color' icon in the Sketch toolbar (it looks like a pencil drawing different color rectangles).
