Plotting force-displacement of a column under compressive axial load

Plotting force-displacement of a column under compressive axial load

Plotting force-displacement of a column under compressive axial load

(OP)
I have simulated a concrete column under axial load. After the analysis is finished, I can only see the very last status of the column (stresses, deformation etc.) but I wonder about the entire history of force-displacement. The load is applied in terms of monotonic displacement. I need to plot this displacement versus the reaction of the other end. Concrete is nonlinear. Please see the attachment.

RE: Plotting force-displacement of a column under compressive axial load

Hi Amin, you have to save all results,

outres,all,all

the default command in Ansys, save only the results of last substep.

Hope that helps.

Jalil

Jiligeo,

Thank you for your response. I changed the "Frequency" of output results through "Sol'n Controls", which should be equal to "outres, all, all" command. I listed the displacements of a node and I only saw the results of the first step. I wonder where the results of other substeps go.
