I am having trouble viewing a stp file and getting it into solidworks.  Anybody have any ides?

If the file fails while trying to open it in SolidWorks, you'll probably have to have whoever created it redo it.

If it's a large file, you may have reached the limit of what your machine can handle.

Can you post the STP file here for testing on other machines?

What is the size of the file(s)? Do you get any error messages?

What is you system specs, SW version, etc..

What Options did you have set on import? So many questions, so little information to go on.
Best bet is probably to zip and attach the file here so that others can see what data you have to work with.
