display settings - part edges in black

Hi,

Newby question! I am setting my display settings. Can I have my parts showing with edges as black? its currently showing the edges the same colour as the part - but brighter. I want a clear display

Thanks

RE: display settings - part edges in black

View->Display->Shaded with Edges

Is this what you want?

RE: display settings - part edges in black

Open and a new part. On the heads up display at the top, change the display style to shaded with edges. Save as a part template.

I have it set to shaded with edges, but I want them displayed black - not the same colour. This display is clearer for me. Thanks

RE: display settings - part edges in black

Tools->Options->Colors

In box titled Color Schemes settings scroll down to Edges in Shaded with Edges Mode and select a color.

After doing this is it still rendering the edges in the color of the part?

RE: display settings - part edges in black

Go to Tools > Options > Document Properties > Colors and deselect Apply same color to wireframe, HLR and shaded
