RE: Pro/E wildfire 5.0
Pro Engineer is not something you can learn correctly through reading books and free tutorials from websites.
It takes at least a week of intensive training from PTC and then several years of real use to become an effective user. In other words lots of time and money.
This forum exists to help users develop their skill and to share ideas, not to give away their ideas to people or suggest cheap ways to cut corners.
If you want to learn to use Pro E contact PTC and ask them about a basic course. If you then have questions that you really cannot get past by yourself, come back and I am sure many people will be glad to help.
By the way...free tutorials on websites will only provide basic help and are of little use.
There is no disrespect meant here, I just get fed up with people trying to learn how to use Pro E on the cheap and then rubbish it because the cannot use it properly.

Your right about the tutorials and books. But right now I cant afford for a training So I have to restrict myself to books and tutorials.
I am sure I wouldn't be really good in few weeks but I will try to practice a lot.
I know that if I have any questions that I really cannot get past by myself, I will post it in the forum and I am sure you or someone will definitely help me.

I hope this helps you, I have been working within ProE for 10 years and I can honestly say every day is a learning experience. If you can say you know everything about your job well then it is time to move on!
Good luck.

For a good site with tons of Pro/E Tutorials check out the following
h
There are several videos from Leo Greene here as well.
I learned some things in my trial of Wildfire 5 and it is a lot easier to use than the older editions given the reduction in the amout of times the program will yell at you. Known as "Resolve Mode" for us long time users.
The drawing mode is weird at first but if you are new to it it won't be to problematic to learn. Student editions run a year behind the Professional edition I believe that is true for autodesk Pro/Engineer and SolidWorks.
This is a good site too but please search the forums for existing posts before asking questions that have previously been addressed.
See if there is a Pro/USER group that meets in your area or a Contract Job House most of which have PCs with the software loaded and available for learning.

It came in handy, because on my next job, I was hired to use Solidworks, and after 6 months that contract got cancelled, and they got some more work that was in Pro-E. I was familiar enough with it to be able to jump in and hit the ground running, learning what I didn't know on the fly.
Learning as many CAD packages (even just a little) as possible, will definately make you more marketable, and hopefully more employeable.

They have subsidized learning programs for adult schools but it will be worth it if you decide to invest_some_ money in it. gotta break a few eggs before you can make an omelet.

If you are going to learn it on your own, make sure you explore features like the Parametric design early on, once you figure that out you will realize the advantages to PRO/E.
