Robot 2010 (how to import a Mesh?)

Dear Experts,
Sorry for posting this request for help here, but since i couldn't find a forum strictly for issues with ROBOT and since ROBOT is now owned by Autodesk, maybe you can help me with the following.

I have a very simple question about ROBOT 2010. Is it possible to import a FE mesh done in AutoCad (not a background) to Robot and if so how can it be done?

Cheers,
John

RE: Robot 2010 (how to import a Mesh?)

John,

Unfortunately, I am not able to help you answer your question.

At the risk of hijacking your thread, I would like to ask you what your impression of Robot is as a structural analysis package?  I have posted a few other threads looking for feedback to help my company select a new analysis software but didn't get a whole lot of information about Robot.

Robot has appealed to others in my company because of the integration of Revit with the program.  What are your impressions of the analysis capabilities of the program?
