Flange Pressure rating

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in these post
Flange connection – CL150, A105, Flange ANSIB16.5. Does this configuration  of Flange connection rated for 300PSI?

RE: Flange Pressure rating

You haven't provided a temperature of operation, but in any event the maximum rating such a flange can achieve is 285psig. So no, not rated for 300psig.

Cheers,
John

HI JohnGP,

It on buried Flowmeter. Depth is 4meter. flow meter measuring raw water pumping into water tretment plant form pond.

Thanks for your reply.

RE: Flange Pressure rating

well, there is no such thing as a ANSI 150 orifice tap flange.  The flange thickness is to thin to tap.

RE: Flange Pressure rating

dcasto is correct.  See ASME B16.36 for orifice flanges.  The minimum for an orifice flange is class 300 due to the thickness of the flange to accommodate the tap width.

RE: Flange Pressure rating

Sorry, but I didn't see the reference to orifice flanges in the question. In fact I still don't.
