Link part to drawing

(OP)
We have a drawing of a part. The supplier has sent in a revised/new model. On the drawing we have tryed to replace the old model with the new using links, replace, etc but the document refuses the links What ever we do ie rename etc it comes back with the same message. Help, we dont want to re-draw the drawing

RE: Link part to drawing

The problem is that he sent you a new model WITH A NEW UUID.  Once that has happened, you are SOL, you cannot relink the view associatively.   You can programmatically link the view to the new part document, but your old dimensions will be isolated.

Sory.

RE: Link part to drawing

Have the supplier resend the drawing but include the 3D file that it's linked to.

RE: Link part to drawing

Try to copy the revised part model from your supplier, to your catia part. Create a new body. Delete your model after that. It might just work.
