Custom Menu Bars Microstation V8.1

Custom Menu Bars Microstation V8.1

Custom Menu Bars Microstation V8.1

(OP)
Hi there, it annoys me that I have to ask this question - it appears as though it should be fairly straight forward, but here goes:

I have created a custom menu in microstation V8.1 that will load and run vba's on selection. I now want to distribute this drop down menu amongst other users on other pcs but cant figure out how to get it to them.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction please?

Much appreciated if you can.

Dave

RE: Custom Menu Bars Microstation V8.1

luggage,
Are you really using V8.1 and not V8.11?

If you are on V8.1 then you are editing a file named ustn.M01. This file is stored locally on your on your computer. Copying this file as the same name to the other computers will move the customizations around.  However any customizations that the other users made would be clobbered.

It would be best to move this ustn.M01 file to a server location and rename it to ustn.S01. Then have the variables _USTN_UISTANDARDS and _USTN_UIPATH locate it on the server.

In the later releases of MicroStation the customizations are stored in DGNLIB files and are much easier to distribute and manage.

Additional information on workspace customizations could be found on the Bentley Communities Forum.  Or contact us directly for additional help.

Bob Mecham
