Dyno Requirement -- 4k ft-lb 0-3000 rpm

Dyno Requirement -- 4k ft-lb 0-3000 rpm

I need to see if we can buy a new/used dyno with following specifications.

Torque = 0 - 4000 ft-lb
RPM= 0 - 3000 rpm

I am planning on connecting this dyno to a prime mover and record torque and rpm for prime mover charecterization.

There are different types of dynos available in the market. I am looking for a dyno with capabilities near zero rpm. Its very difficult to get zero rpm. I know, at least eddy current dynos cant go to zero rpm.

please provide any resource for such dynos.

RE: Dyno Requirement -- 4k ft-lb 0-3000 rpm

A torque and rpm curve will be required to determine how to provide your testing requirements. If you need 4000 ft lbs at 3000 rpm this is a large (2285) hp system.

The following is meant as constructive advice to a new member and I have not red flagged your post yet and at this point have no intention of doing so.

This site has a rule against sales promoting on the site and spammers are deleted on sight.

Your post directly answers a question which is allowed but as it is your first ever post it looks suspect.

We all recommend our own services at times, but it looks a lot better if someone recommending their own services follows a few guidelines, those being:-

1) It is better if you have a few runs on the board as a contributor to the site before doing so. It looks like a potential spammer if it's your first ever post.

2) Declare any interest in the recommendation. You kind of did that by terms like we.

3) Also recommend several serious competitors in that field. This might seem commercially stupid to a professional salesman, but this site is for technical information for work for engineers NOT for sales promotion.

Just out of curiosity are you trying to dyno a diesel engine? The power and torque figures are similar to such a powerplant.
