Bucket Wheel Excavator

(OP)
Does anyone know where I can find some information on the principles of design for bucket wheel excavators and in particular the bucket itself?

I am trying to model a bucket in 3D from a clients engineers drawing and the drawing is very incomplete so before I go any further with trying to prepare a solution I thought it best I study up on first principles.

RE: Bucket Wheel Excavator

Anthony,
BWEs were an interesting topic on a model railroad site not long ago. During my searches, I did not find any dimensional data but I did find a manufacturer. You may need to contact the OEM or their descendant. Do you know who made the original machine?
