Y14.8 book worth it for plastic?

Y14.8 book worth it for plastic?

(OP)
Greetings,

Just trying to decide if we need a $72 book.
We have the Y14.5 (2009) and Y14.41 (2003) books.  I am wondering if the Y14.8 (2009) Castings, forgings, and molded parts-- is of good use?

Our company designs all injection molded and roto-molded plastic parts.  No cast or forged.

**Any more great info that is not covered in Y14.5 and Y14.41?**

Thanks, Troy (GDTP T-0386)

RE: Y14.8 book worth it for plastic?

I used it on a casting I did a while back and found it useful.  I also refer to it occasionally on other parts.

I'd think it might be of some use to you.  I covers things unique to cast/forged/molded parts such as mold mismatch, allowing for draft and a bunch of stuff like that.
