Scale 1-D or stretch a 3D Solid in ACAD-2011 ?
Scale 1-D or stretch a 3D Solid in ACAD-2011 ?
(OP)
Any scoop on whether there's something in AutoCAd to compare with RHINO's "SCALE-1D" command ? Its much like a "stretch" of an object, making it longer or shorter (scale larger or smaller) by SCALing it in only ONE direction! Let's say I have a rectangular tube that's 1' long, and I want it to be 1.5' (18") Long. I can copy and union it, but is there any way to scale it in that direction or maybe a version of stretch? I could extrude the end-face and re-union or I could make it a block and reinsert it with the y-scale factor a larger value than the X at insertion and exploding it afterward, but that's really not the same thing.
Any thoughts ?

I haven't tried this in 2011 and is a bit of a work around, but it works for any object including text.
