Weld X65 to X52 - shadow in x-ray?
Weld X65 to X52 - shadow in x-ray?
(OP)
I have a pipeline project that involves welding some X65 pipe to some X52 fittings. The bore is the same, and these are both S-1 materials. One of my client's inspectors commented that there may be a shadow on the x-ray that will prevent him from seeing flaws. I got this 3rd hand, so I'm going to call the guy direct and find out exactly what he said, but I was wondering if anyone here has had any problems with a similar weld.
