Update of drawing view causes view to vanish, any solutions?
Update of drawing view causes view to vanish, any solutions?
(OP)
I'm detailing some assemblies in the draft environment... Every time I open the draft file (parent assembly kept the same) the views have the grey box indicating they need a view update. When I perform the view update the entire view vanishes, leaving a blank drawing space. Use of the uncrop command is, well, useless. Sometimes, but not always expanding the crop boundary to 3 or 4 times the original area boundary brings all the drawing elements back. Then resizing the crop boundary to a manageable size causes the view to disappear again.
This issue happens randomly. I cannot seem to find anything that triggers it.
Does anyone know why the elements in the view box would disappear after an update? Or better yet, how to fix it?

I don't know if it can be your case but it may be worth investigating.

RE: Update of drawing view causes view to vanish, any solutions?
I have this feeling it has something to do with the draft views. I am detailing the same assembly with several different views. Some of the views are acting up and others are just fine with updates. Come to think of it the views I've had trouble with are all isometric style views.
Any other thought would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I am using ST2 traditional...
Thanks,
