If we will use balancing holes we can reduce axial force by 70%.
How many percent the axial force will be reduced when we will use impeller back vanes.

Assuming the pressure losses at the front and back of the impeller are equal, there should be none. The impeller should be balanced.

I agree with hydromech. However, many time it is not possible to have equal impeller back vanes to the actual impeller vanes. In that case, it becomes a ratio. 2:1 (reg vs back) in which there is a 50% reduction of original axial force(going from no impeller back vanes to impeller back vanes).

If you are you pumping clean product just go with balance holes.
