Memory allocation for V5R19??

Memory allocation for V5R19??

Memory allocation for V5R19??

(OP)
How much memory can be allocated to CATIA?  The current setup is XP 64bit w/ 8G of RAM.  I believe right now 3G is allocated for CATIA and when I get close to that value CATIA crashes.

RE: Memory allocation for V5R19??

Sounds like a 32bit software limitation, why do you use 32bit catia on a 64bit system?? If you use 64bit catia there is of course a theoretical limit but it is not a realistic problem, have had cases where I had 10G allocated to a 64bit Catia on a 64bit system

RE: Memory allocation for V5R19??

How can we find out which version of CATIA is installed on the machine (32 bit or 64bit)

Thank you.

RE: Memory allocation for V5R19??

look in the install directory is the sub directory of the B19 directory Intel_a or Win64. The software management tool should also tell you.

RE: Memory allocation for V5R19??

virtual memory should be >= Ram.

Regards,
Derek
