Stupid question. How to move an object in CATIA V5?

(OP)

 Hello,

I have a stupid question. I am new with CATIA. I want to move ( or rotate or scale ) a piece of a model.

Where is the ( green) compass to do this?

Days ago, I don´t what I did but I saw this manipulator and have no problem. Now I don´t see it.

 Sorry for my poor english.

 Thanks.

RE: Stupid question. How to move an object in CATIA V5?

Take the compass, from the upper right corner, and drag and drop it on the part you want to move. Or, right click on the compass and chose "snap automatically on selected object" and then pick the part in the tree.

Thanks Azrael.

I tried to drag and drop, but only moved the camera. I didn´t see that when you move the cursor to the bottom of the compass the cursor change to a 'cross'

RE: Stupid question. How to move an object in CATIA V5?

This usually works best when the part is used in a CATProduct with the Assembly Design workbench. The compass can be used to drag (move and rotate) parts.

Why do you want to scale the parts? Scaling can be done with the Part Design workbench - it's part of the transformation toolbar.
