pdmworks question

pdmworks question

pdmworks question

(OP)
Just started in a new company and am trying to figure out pdmworks.  I am trying to create a new project in pdmworks and have it created in my vault admin.  The problem is I am not able to see it in my SolidWorks pdm.  Thanks in advance.

RE: pdmworks question

Check the permissions on the project. It possible, even likely, that the new project has no permissions and isn't visible to anybody. Set your user to have at least Read access to the project and it will appear in SW.

Thanks for your help, however, nothing I've tried so far has helped.  I have the add-in turned on in SolidWorks for PDM, I copied the permission allowance from a working project to the new project, and I refreshed the PDMworks, (it's also set to refresh automatically).  I definitly agree that training is in order and maybe I can get the company to stick a crowbar in their wallet and provide at least a book.  Otherwise, any other thoughts?

RE: pdmworks question

Stupid question, but have to ask...
Are pointed to the correct vault server for PDMWorks, and are you logged in?

I could send some screen shots of our vault if that helps? It will be tomorrow because I'm working from home today.

RE: pdmworks question

If it's on a server, you may need an IT person to setup your access to the folder on the server.
