Anyone have any experience of BoM export software add-ons?

Anyone have any experience of BoM export software add-ons?

Hi,

We're looking at ToolWorks & CustomWorks to aid the process of handing designs over to our purchasing dept.

Does anyone out there have any experience of these or any other programs they'd care to share?  At the moment we're manually plugging data into File > Properties fields, but I'm keen to know if any programs out there offer anything above this for a small/meduim sized companies.

We're using PDMWorks if it's of any relevance.

Thanks,

Simon

RE: Anyone have any experience of BoM export software add-ons?

What version of SolidWorks are you using?

There is similar functionality to ToolWorks and CustomWorks starting in SolidWorks 2009.

Do a search in the SolidWorks Help for Property Tab Builder.

See attached picture.

This may address your needs without custom software.

Cheers,

Hi Anna,

We're on 2010 here, so thanks very much for that - I'll check out the propery tab builders.

Much appreciated,

Simon
