Verdict in Hadlock Dam Failure Fort Ann NY

Verdict in Hadlock Dam Failure Fort Ann NY

Verdict in Hadlock Dam Failure Fort Ann NY

(OP)
This is an update of a post I made almost 5 years ago. The details of the original are included in the second link but basically a small dam failed 5 years ago (2-July-05)on initial filling; fortunately there was no loss of life. The trial started about 2 months ago and the jury issued their verdict a few weeks ago (trial articles in the first link).  Liability was split between dam owner (Town of Fort Ann), contractor, engineer, and testing company.

I thought this may be of interest to see how the courts dealt with an event such as this.
