NX7.5 Missing Functions???

NX7.5 Missing Functions???

NX7.5 Missing Functions???

(OP)
Hi

We have just switched to NX7.5 and I am having trouble finding the "bounded plane" function as well as " Join Faces"

Have these functions been replaced with something else?

Or is there other function I can use that will do exactly the same?

I can't seem to find any notes in the "whats new"

RE: NX7.5 Missing Functions???

insert -> surface -> bounded plane
insert -> combine -> join face

if you can't find a command, use command finder (binoculars icon on the standard toolbar).

also you probably want to change your role to "Advanced with full menus".

RE: NX7.5 Missing Functions???

Yes, be sure to use the command finder.
If the command has been removed, or the name has been changed in some way, then simply enter the old name into it and it will direct you to the new command.
It is also available at help > command finder

RE: NX7.5 Missing Functions???

Just to throw my 2 cents into the ring I would never have found where the variable offset surface was tucked away unless I knew to use command finder. And I use this every day for longer than I care to recall!
