Euro gas bottle - US Miller 350: Best way to connect gas lines?

Euro gas bottle - US Miller 350: Best way to connect gas lines?

(OP)
I will be required in a few weeks to connect two US-standard Miller 350 welding machines to locally-provided (Euro-standard) gas bottles in Slovenia.

By phone, Miller tech reps claim that their 350 model welders will run on the expected 380-420 50 Hz VAC available on site.   Older Miller 300
s apparently won't run at 400 VAC.   Their Miller Catalog claims the Auto-line feature is compatible with the on-line voltage, but also calls for 60 Hz.  For GTAW and SMAW, the inverter should run OK on 50 as well as 60 Hz.

But I can find no US supplier of compatible gas regulators.  If a locally purchase a regulator and bottle shutoff valve, then can I simply (and safely!) use a simple hose-clamp (low-pressure rubber hose-rubber hose connector) to connect the European LP hose from the regulator to the cut-off Miller gas supply?  What hose diameters should I expect to be receiving the LP gas from after it leaves the regulator assembly?

It sounds like it should work, but something tells me that's not right.
