Bearing Plates

Bearing Plates

(OP)
On an existing field storage tank, the tank is going to be jacked and leveled due to excessive settlement.  Once leveled, the old annular plate will be removed and new annular plate will be installed.  To mitigate future settlement, a concrete annular ring or the use of a bearing plate is being considered, which would be installed under the new annular plate.  Is there any concern with regards to corrosion if there is a bearing plate installed under the annular plate; both plates are new steel.
