osha regs and cable clamps for suspension cables for a suspended scaff

osha regs and cable clamps for suspension cables for a suspended scaff

(OP)
i am designing a scaffold that is suspended by cables.  we are planning on using specific lgt cable chokers with thimbles as required per osha but i am wondering  if the "fist grip" clamps can be used instead, to make enable the height adjustment to be easier.  at first i was thinking they were not allowed, but after further reading in the regs, it appears that they are.  if we use them they would have to be torqued after loaded then before every shift.  Crosby recommends 3 clamps for a 5/8" cable but i am wondering if more clamps are required since it will be supporting people

what are your thoughts?

thanks

TX pretty much hit it on the head.

I noticed you said something about chockers - just make sure they can't "bite" into the material they are choking.
