Full-Out Toolbars

This could be a bit over-the-top, but would it be possible to be able to execute a command that would open all toolbars entirely, but turning off those that are not licensed? (Perhaps an .mtx file per install as part of the install)

Here we try to not mess with toolbars (or Roles for that matter) too much because it takes that much longer to set them up next update. I know the Customer Defaults and .mtx files can be taken forward, but I like to look at what has been added in NX while reading it from the what's new. Being able to blow all the toolbars open and eliminating the clutter that is the ones I do not have license to use would be awesome. At that point I would drop the lesser-used buttons back into drop-downs, and turn off the almost-never used. (I do like that there are more and more drop-downs.)

Any tips, tricks, or best practices along these lines would be great. Please spill them,

Thanks for your time,
KLINE

RE: Full-Out Toolbars

What do you do with floating licenses?  What if you have 10 seats of modeling but only one license for CAE.  Should you have the CAE toolbars availalbe or not?

I would have it open as if all licenses available at the facility were available. So, yes, have the CAE toolbars available in your example.

Thanks John,

Any other help/ideas here, or do I need to go up and down through the toolbar exercise each release? (instead of just down)

Thanks for your help, if you think this one is picky, wait until you see the next one.

RE: Full-Out Toolbars

I have the same concern.  I setup and use only 3 toolbars, fully custom, and anything not on my custom toolbars I selct from the menu bars.

If I import my role, however, it even overwrites the menus thus hiding any new or changed functionality.  To ensure I'm not missing something new, I have to scrap my toolbars and start over, which defeats the purpose of the roles.

Is it possible to import/export ONLY the individual toolbars in order to work around this?
