PVOH Adhesive - tack free time

PVOH Adhesive - tack free time

(OP)
I am developing a PVOH translucent – clear adhesive for art, handicrafts, in school or home applications.  I am having difficulties to reduce the tack free time of the adhesive. The pvoh I am using has 98% hydrolysis used in combination with boric acid (5%) and water.  The supplier recommends me to use VAE emulsions but they are not clear (originally white) then I cannot used it. If you know an additive that I can add to my system to displace the water quantity, reducing the tack free time without losing the translucent appearance and the adhesive final properties please contact me. Thanks for your time.
