Distillation Data & Pseudocompoents

Distillation Data & Pseudocompoents

Distillation Data & Pseudocompoents

(OP)
I'd like to determine pseudocompoents from  distillation data for input into a commercial process simulator i.e Hysys, Promax, ect. Below is a summary of my question.

Given

1.) Distillation Data per ASTM D86 (for crude oil)

2.) Bulk specific gravity

Find
Convert the boiling point cuts into pseudocomponents.
Determine the following for each pseudocomponent.

a.) MW
b.) SG
c.) mole or weight fraction

Qustions
1.) Do I need additional information that the laboratory can
obtain while processing the sample i.e. MW and SG of  each cut?

2.) Can some one please provide a reference that has examples of boiling calculations?

I'm not asking for anyone to hold my hand, a literature or book reference will suffice.

See the attached boiling point data. It's typical of what I see.

RE: Distillation Data & Pseudocompoents

Try D.S.Jones' Elements of Petroleum Processing Wiley.

RE: Distillation Data & Pseudocompoents

Most of these packages have routines for crude characterization.  Supply the D86 data and let it do it for you.
