EUCI Short Courses

EUCI Short Courses

EUCI Short Courses

(OP)
My boss pointed me to a short course given by EUCI. The agenda looks good, it's relevant to my work, and it's close to home, so I'm thinking about registering, but I'm curious if anyone here has experience with EUCI's training. If they aren't a quality outfit, my time could be wasted regardless of how good the agenda looks.

Thanks,
John

RE: EUCI Short Courses

And if your boss likes it and told you go......

Then go and get a day out of the office.  You WILL learn something - even if it is only that this is a dumb course...

RE: EUCI Short Courses

I think Mike nailed it--your boss wouldn't have pointed you to it if he didn't think it would benefit the company to have you attend.  I wouldn't worry about polling folks about EUCI, I'd just try to get an early-bird price on the course.  A motivated person can get something out of any course, even a bad one (not to say this is a bad company, I don't know anything about them and I'm not in that industry).

RE: EUCI Short Courses

Let's just make sure, if the boss is paying and giving you the time on his dime, then at worst it's a days boondoggle out of the office at his expense and you're maybe a day behind on some project.

If the boss isn't paying, or isn't giving you the time or whatever then yeah, I'd look long and hard.

Thant said, I've avoided a couple of events forwarded to me lately, but that's because it's related to a responsibility I'm trying to avoid and a lost day would matter right now.

Thanks for the input.  I'll go ahead and sign up.  Worst case, I waste a day and I'll be even farther behind than I am now.   smile
