Reassigning callouts to an assembly

Reassigning callouts to an assembly

(OP)
Hello everybody,

I've already searched past threads in the forum, but I couldn't quite find an answer to my question.

My problem is, after finishing an assembly I'd like to be able to QUICKLY edit the CALLOUT attribute that NX has previously assigned to each of the components in the assembly.

Right now what I do is to select each component in the assembly navigator, then MB3-->Properties-->Attributes, Select the CALLOUT attribute, click on the box with the value, delete the old value, type the new value, click OK and start all over with the next component.

That is a lot of work just to change one value.

Is there any other method that is more straight forward??? It could be something like, exporting the assembly to an excel, arranging the components as desired, type the "001" for the CALLOUT of the first row, then filling the rest of the column automatically. The excel would the write the new attribute values in the NX assembly file.
Voilá, a 30 minutes work for a 200+ components assembly, done in a couple of minutes.
I think Solid works does have this feature.

Please let me know if anyone has found some kind of workaround.

Thank you
