Floor Load

Floor Load

(OP)
I would like to ask if anybody knows - and if it is of course possible - to exclude members from assigned floor loads.
E.g: when there is a floor with an opening, how can I take the floor out from the opening?

RE: Floor Load

Conservative method:
Separate the fload and define the X and Z range for each fload.

RE: Floor Load

I find the easiest way is to make a FLOOR group and you can than assign the load using the group.

You might have to make several groups though in order to get around the opening in the floor.  Otherwise, you could just make one big group assign the load, and than make another group for just the floor opening and assign the opposite of the load.  Therefore, they would cancel each other out.
