FEA training

Hello to you all.

I was planning on attending "Practical Stress Analysis & Finite Element Methods" from NAFEMS (in the UK).

Do any of you have experience with this course or perhaps even the instructors?

Would you recommend it for a beginner/novice FEA person?

RE: FEA training

You might look for a local college or tech school as a beginner. NAEFEMS is good, but also expensive.

Hi kellnerp, the e-learning coarses are quite reasonable priced though.

Although i am a BE, the FEA was only marginally touched during the education. The background math was nearly untouched (general math was taught in seperate classes though, but not specifically for FEA) and also no practical projects so as to compare / validate the results.

Basically more like "you have to push these buttons and follow the manual guys, then you will be fine" A sad state of affair actually.

Nafems coarses seems decent as to increase my knowledge.
