Non-return valve type applicable for use with Reciprocation Compressor

Non-return valve type applicable for use with Reciprocation Compressor

Non-return valve type applicable for use with Reciprocation Compressor

(OP)
In the past it has been my experience that piston non-slam type non-return (check)valves were the technology to use on the discharge piping to prevent flow reversal to a reiciprocating gas compressor.

More than one Tender on a gas compression project have submitted an axial flow type non-return valve.

What experience and would anyone have comments regarding this non-return valve application variation?

Please provide any links or reasons for your comments such as a case history.

I've always used a standard swing check and never had any sort of problems with them.
