Complex Example

Complex Example

(OP)
Hi Peter,
I am a new user and I like this program. I am looking for a complex example that contains every option in a 40 node or less example? I happen to be a visual person and would like to see this. Do you have an example like this containing tailwater, multi pond outlets, wet ponds, dry pond, links, and every type of reach, subareas that works inside of HydroCAD.

The reason I want this is I am trying to set up my Excel files as data inputs and trying to set up a master HydroCAD file that I can copy or clone over and using the adjust to the correct elevation.

Also one last question. How small of an area, flows and designs can HydroCAD go? I know the local, city and county want to see something and the subarea in question is only 6,000 sft and 0.9 cfs. These are to small to be using a program but I need to know the lower limit.

Thanks for your help,

CivilSurveyor

RE: Complex Example

There are too many options to include them all in a single project.  And many options are mutually exclusive.  It simply wouldn't make sense to use many of them together.

For a start, please have a look at the sample projects that are preinstalled with HydroCAD.  Then have a look at the modeling articles on the support page at www.hydrocad.net/support.htm  Also be sure to review the HydroCAD Owner's Manual.  (A printed copy is included with each license.)

As for the subcatchment size and flow rates, there is no lower limit imposed by the program.  The values you mention are not uncommon.
