Strain Calculation in a Composite Layer

Strain Calculation in a Composite Layer

(OP)
Hi everybody,

I modeled a composite laminate as a 2-D model but when I try to analyse the strain in each layer separately I am unable to do so, I only have the "unlayered" option.

However when I want to find the stresses in each ply I am able to choose the layer I want to look at.

Could somebody tell me how to find the strain in each layer separately?

Thank you,

You should ask for strains. to do that in patran:
Analysis->Subcases->Output Requests-> Select ELEMENT STRAINS
