Decomposing Von Mises Stress

(OP)
Hi Everyone,

I am using beam elements in a wire frame model.  I have found that I am only able to query S11 stress.  I am able to query Von Mises and other combined stresses (tresca, maximum principle, etc) but not stress components such as S12 and S22.

My question is there another method to extract these types of stress components using beam elements?

Thank you for your time
Bigwilly

RE: Decomposing Von Mises Stress

have you selected the S12 and S22 from the "field output request"?
if you have a 2-3D model, you should be able to select them.

Regards,
