combustion of vegetable oil

combustion of vegetable oil

(OP)
Hi,

I would like to design a furnace (made from pyrex)and burner tube (made from fused silica)to analyze the flame appearances and temperature of some vegetable oils by using oxygen as an oxidant. I've plan to use ultrasonic atomizer as a tools to convert liquid into gas.

Could you please advice me how to determine the size of burner (such as length, diameter etc), how to calculate flow rate and velocity of fuel and air, how should i calculate the viscosity of fuel (since viscosity of vegetable oil is bigger than viscosity of air) so I have to reduce the velocity of vegetable in order to ensure there is a combustion occurs.

Thank you very much in advance.

Izza
