BOM versions in PDM

BOM versions in PDM

(OP)
Howdy!

I am currently trying to read the BOM that Solidworks PDM provides in access.  The thing that keeps on happening is that  every time we update an assembly, the version changes.  This makes it nearly impossible to read all the information that we need if it keeps on changing.

We are a small company, and we have no need for multiple versions of one file.  Is there a way to keep the file in one single version?

Thanks and gig'em!
