Turning off Snap on Xref's

Turning off Snap on Xref's

Turning off Snap on Xref's

(OP)
Does anyone know how to turn off the snap for an xref only, is there a way to do this? I want to leave the xref on the screen, but ONLY snap to the actual elements in my dwg file, not on the xref elements.

RE: Turning off Snap on Xref's

No I don't thik so, either snaps are on or off does not discriminate from xref's. If you having problems selecting areas from the origial dwg try hover over the area you wish to pick and use the tab key to select the point you are after.

Thanks, too bad ACAD doesn't work like Microstation where you can turn off osnap for xref's (and, copy xref elements into the current dwg)
