Electrical Symbol legend

Electrical Symbol legend

Electrical Symbol legend

(OP)
Can anyone direct me to a source where all electrical symbols are displayed and identified. This would be a benefit for understanding the difference between the european symbol standards (eplan) and the North American standard (promis.e)

RE: Electrical Symbol legend

The main source publication for US symbol is the latest version of the IEEE Std 315 -1997, "Graphic Symbols for Electrical and Electronics Diagrams (Including Reference Designation Letters) "
http://standards.ieee.org/reading/ieee/std_public/description/gsdu/315-1975_desc.html
For relays and meter representation on the IEEE Std C37.2. “IEEE Standard Electrical Power System Device Function Numbers and Contact Designations”
http://standards.ieee.org/reading/ieee/std_public/description/subst/C37.2-1996_desc.html

Sample of CADD package symbol you may find at:
http://www.codezebra.com/flowtools/eleclib.html

See also the enclose Thread242-22239

Be advised that Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) among other government or private utilities have their own symbols before this standard was originally published.

NOTE: I understand that there is a publication with the equivalent symbols between the IEEE/ANSI and IEC.
If you should find any good reference, please let us know.
