NX 5: plotting a very large drawing

NX 5: plotting a very large drawing

NX 5: plotting a very large drawing

(OP)
Hello all,

I am attempting to print a very large (~2 meter by 2 meter) drawing to full scale for my supervisor. The largest plotter where I work has a paper width of 34 inches. To achieve my goal, I would like to print the image as 4 'strips' and tape them together. Is this possible to do in NX 5 without trying to quarter it manually?

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Dan

RE: NX 5: plotting a very large drawing

Theoretically you can do it in three. I'd place lines on the sheet where the cuts will be made first, and then I would simply plot it three times changing the origin between plots.

Best Regards

RE: NX 5: plotting a very large drawing

-way to do
create drawing with the entire size export it to cgm
import this cgm into a new file.
create a drawings with the max paper height of your output device. Split the height extension on extra drawings
plot and patch work  them together.

Hudson,

That solution worked splendidly. Thank you again for your time.

uwam2ie,

I didn't try your method, but thank you for the suggestion!
