Making a whole part a shell

Making a whole part a shell

(OP)
Is there a way to make a whole completed part into a shell with every surface the same thickness. I am trying to create a bucket with extrusions on the base, and all the extrusions are hollow, like the whole part was made in a press.
I can upload what I am talking about if this is confusing.

Thanks

RE: Making a whole part a shell

Sure.  Use the Shell feature on a solid.  You may want to add some of those fillets either before or after the shell operation.
