Drawing keeps reference to a model deleted from it

Drawing keeps reference to a model deleted from it

Drawing keeps reference to a model deleted from it

(OP)
Strange things happend to me lately.
I open a drawing, rename it, then delete all drawing views and bring drawing views of new model. But when I check references, there are references to the old model. Poltergeist or weird SW setup? Any Ideas how to fix it?

Thank you,
Boris.

RE: Drawing keeps reference to a model deleted from it

Try doing it with a different time-line. Open a drawing, delete all drawing views, then rename it and save as (new name) and close. Reopen the empty drawing and then insert the new model, or create your own template and use that for new drawings. Unless there's a good reason not to create your own template...

RE: Drawing keeps reference to a model deleted from it

How are you renaming a drawing when it is open?

If you are renaming the drawing, deleting all the views and creating new ones ... why not just create a new drawing?

Strange things happen when strange things are done. poke

Creating new drawing from scratch is too easy and plain.
I do not rename, I "save as". I do it if notes and sheet properties are similar- it saves me a few minutes.

RE: Drawing keeps reference to a model deleted from it

If it doesn't work as you want it to, it obviously doesn't save your time... No pun intended :)

I agree. I am just curious.
