Gas Mixtures and Concentrations
Gas Mixtures and Concentrations
(OP)
The technical specification we have received from our customer says that 50 litre bottles will be supplied with a mixture of gas A and gas B at 200 barg. We also know that gas A will be 4.5% by volume and gas B 95.5% by volume. The temperature is also known.
How do I go about calculating what the concentration of each gas is in ppm?
I started off by using partial pressures, but ended up going round in circles.
Thanks in advance.

RE: Gas Mixtures and Concentrations
You would have to share your gas species to get help on ppmM since my Periodic Table doesn't have an "A" and boron is not a gas at 200 barg and room temp.

RE: Gas Mixtures and Concentrations
If you want to know ppm by weight, then we need to know the molecular weights of your gases A and B.
