Hidden lines in assy dwg.

Hidden lines in assy dwg.

Hidden lines in assy dwg.

(OP)
I've come across a problem when making assy dwgs that has me stumped. I make a minor modification and and when I reopen a sheet, previously visible lines are now hidden. This is not the first time this has happened. I'm must be doing something stupid, I just can't figure what.
Thanks for any help.

Did you update the views?

I did not look at your file but I have a guess at what may have happened.
Part interfernce will affect how the part edges are shown in the view: analysis > simple interference

RE: Hidden lines in assy dwg.

Along those same lines, select the problem view, press MB3, select 'Style' and go to the tab labeled 'Hidden Lines'.  Try changing some of the options that you find there and see if this has any effect.

RE: Hidden lines in assy dwg.

In the Drawing view 'Style' dialog, on the 'Hidden Lines' tab, when I toggled on the 'Interfering Solids' option labled 'Yes, With Interference Curves' the image immediately corrected itself.  Perhaps you were going to 'View Preferences' to make these changes.  That will NOT have any effect on existing views, only the next views which you create.  You have to explicitly select the view and edit the 'Hidden Lines' setting for that specific view.

Attached is an image of the results I got.

No I was not going to "view preferences" but nor was I toggling the settings in "hidden lines" as methodically as I should have. I'm not even sure I tried that switch since I couldn't imagine what might be interfering.
Anyway I really appreciate you solving this.
I'm going to send you a bottle of something this Christmas, you just let me know what you like.

There's this really great beer that they brew down in Tasmania, unfortunately they don't export sad

But honestly, just have one for me and that'll be good enough.
